#23-Introducing.......Jennifer!

Scene-Janet's Hospital Room

[It's two days after the birth of Jennifer. Larry, Terri, Chrissy, and Richie have come to visit her]

Larry: Jack! Janet! That is some baby! [to Jennifer] You are sooooo adorable! You know that?

Jennifer: Wahhhhhh!!!!

Janet: Oh Larry don't take it personally! She has been crying ever since she was born!

Chrissy: Wow! She looks exactly like you two!
Look! I can see Janet's eyes in her and I can see Jack's nose....

Terri: Hey yeah! She does look like you two! Oh yes and before I forget, heres a present from me, Larry, Richie, and Chrissy got for you too.

Jack: Awww thank you guys! [opens the present] Oh wow! Look Janet!

Janet: A baby album! To record everything important that happens to our baby! Thanks!

Richie: Look Uncle Jack and Auntie Janet! I made this for the baby!

Jack: What do ya got there Richie?

Richie: It's a picture of a teddy bear! And see I spelled my name on it!

Jack: [reads] RCHE. Well it was close enough!

Janet: Thank you Richie! I'm sure Jennifer will love it!

Richie: You're welcome!

Chrissy: And don't worry Janet. I'll watch Jennifer when you need to go out. I love babies! Hey Jack, remember the time when Janet made us baby sit that little baby when she needed to go out on a date?

Jack: [laughs] Yes! Remember how the cabinet to his wine was locked?

Chrissy: Haha yeah and so u looked in the desk and that was locked too! [all laugh]

Terri: I can't wait till she comes home! It will be so much fun having a baby around the house!

Richie: ummmmm Auntie Janet, Uncle Jack?

Jack: What is it Richie?

Richie: Can I play with the baby when we get home?

Janet: Sure you can! But only when she's awake.

Larry: And you need to be GENTLE with her son.

Terri: She needs lots of care.

Chrissy: And when she's sleeping and you still need someone to play with, there's always me! [others laugh]

Richie: Oh wow!!! Now I have someone to play with! I'll teach her how to work my toy train!!! [all laugh]

Larry: Ummmm Richie, son, unless Jennifer is some kind of baby genius, i dont think she can play with you're train quite yet!

Richie: Oh. Then we'll play something else!

Janet: Wow Richie! You sure have a lot of plans already!

Jack: I promise you can play with her when she comes home later!

Later that day.....

Scene-Apartment

[Jennifer's homecoming]

Janet: Here it is Jennifer honey! Home sweet home!

Larry: And don't you two worry about a thing! We already set up Jennifer's crib in Richie's room.

Chrissy: And while I was out shopping today, I picked her up some new clothes and toys!

Jack: Hey thanks! I'm really grateful to have friends like you guys!

Terri: Hey its getting late! I think we should all go to bed now.

Richie: OK. [yawns] I'm tired!!!

Larry: It's way past your bed time son!

Chrissy: I'm tired too!

Larry: Well its way past you're bed time too Chrissy! [laughs] No no just kidding!

Janet: Well goodnight everyone!

All: Goodnight! [Larry and Terri go into their bedroom, Chrissy goes into hers, Richie goes into his.]

Jack: [holding Jennifer] Well I think its bed time for you too Jennifer.

Janet: Oh Jack!

Jack: Janet, you know what?

Janet: What?

Jack: In my life, there have been two of my happiest days I will never forget.

Janet: Really? What are they?

Jack: The day I married you....

Janet: Awww thanks Jack! And whats the other one?

Jack: The day that Jennifer was born!

Janet: Jack thats soooo sweet!

Jack: Yeah...goodnight Janet[kisses Janet] And a special goodnight to you, Jennifer. [kisses Jennifer]
