Why would anyone want "Candle In The Wind" (You called it Goodbye Norma Jean) as their first song at a wedding? Its about the death of an idol????!!!
And "Always On My Mind" is about breaking up. That's like my mother - she wanted me to have "I Will Always Love You" from the Bodyguard and I had to tell her that song was about a love that couldn't continue. Listen to the words people!! lol Oh well, Mine would be either "At Last" (the original by Etta James), "You Are The Sunshine of My Life" Stevie Wonder or "When I Fall In Love". |

Country music has so many good songs to pick from. I'd pick Amazed by Lonestar or You Had me From Hello by Kenny Chesney. For the father/daughter dance, I'd choose Hearland's I Loved Her First.

Oh I agree, I love both songs (especially Always on my Mind) and it's great to dance to, but not for a first wedding dance. ![]() Actually, if you want a good Elvis tune for that occasion, go with "Can't Help Falling in Love". I dedicated that to my brother and his wife at their wedding. |
