Default Finally getting a man/woman who you pursued for years?

And what made them finally have a change of heart? For me it was a year and three months. Technically it was actually three years since I fell in love with her and wanted to be with her the moment I saw her, but since she was with a boyfriend at the time, and since I didn't really meet her until about a year and a half later, we'll just say a year and three months. Anyway, she just came up to me out of the blue one day and kissed me. I guess she had finally started feeling feelings for me, and later told me that the fate of whether she would give me a chance would be based on that kiss, and whether I was a good kisser. Our relationship was quite literally sealed with a kiss. lol! Good thing I brushed my teeth that morning!!

Anyway, what's the longest you ever pursued somebody for a relationship, and finally had them give you a chance? What was their reasoning for giving you that chance? I'm just curious to hear about some of S.O.'s greatest love stories.

Nice story. You're both still in love? How, if he's married ?

You'll learn - it doesn't change anything. You can't just shut off your feelings for someone if it's truly love.

Yeah I know. Speaking of that and this thread, I met a girl last year, first sem. of comm. college, she was in my music apprec. thread. I fell for her, probably the first girl I have ever fallen in love with. We hung out a lot- those 3/4 months. She had a boyfriend though and I have not been able to get ahold of her since .

Funny, I have a girlfriend where that happened. She had been seeing another guy who was separated and his estranged wife was making them both miserable. She finally broke it off. She said she had a wonderful guy friend who she had known for 11 years and almost the entire time he had a bad crush for her. She never thought of him more than just her best friend - not sexually at all. He showed more interest once she broke off the other relationship. I had to encourage her to give him a chance. I told her you never know what can happen.
Sure enough, she fell for him, they've moved in together and are engaged. She says she's the happiest she's ever been in her entire life and thinks he's the best looking guy in the world to her now. Again, he didn't come on strong - was just very open and honest with her.
