Default Pray and think of Cloris Leachman

http://www.popeater.com/television/a...eachman/251299

(Just don't read the comments...why are some people such jack-you-know-what's?)

I hope Cloris will be OK. I love her on MTM of course, as well as (despite what some people say) DWTS, which I probably wouldn't have cared about if not for her :-)

OH I hope she's o.k. At her age, that can be a very bad sign. Prayers for Cloris.

I didn't even bother reading the stupid comments people make. They make me sick. She had DWTS rocking this season.

I agree, pneumonia at that age is a really scary thing. My grandmother passed away earlier this year of pneumonia at age 90. It's a really tough illness to beat at those ages.

LOS ANGELES (Reuters) – Oscar winning actress Cloris Leachman, who saw a resurgence in her popularity recently on the TV show "Dancing with the Stars," fell ill late last week and sought treatment from doctors but is now home, her spokeswoman said on Monday.

Earlier, celebrity television program "Entertainment Tonight" said Leachman, 82, had been hospitalized and diagnosed with pneumonia.

Leachman's spokeswoman said in a statement that the actress, on Thursday last week, "had a slight cough and wasn't feeling totally herself, so she went and sought medical attention from her doctor.

"She is currently at her home, and is expected to tape something for 'Dancing with the Stars' later this week," the spokeswoman said.

The extent of Leachman's illness was not immediately known.

Leachman became the oldest contestant ever when she appeared on this season's "Dancing with the Stars" in the United States, in which celebrities are paired with professional dancers and compete in ballroom dancing.

She won a large fan base for her good sense of humor on the program, but was eliminated sixth in the competition.

Leachman won an Oscar for her role in the 1971 movie "The Last Picture Show." She also has collected eight Emmy awards. Her best known TV role was as the self-absorbed Phyllis on "Mary Tyler Moore."

I had no idea that all this mess was going on. I do wish Cloris the best.

I also had no clue about this.
My prayers are with her at this time.

Best wishes for a complete recovery for Cloris.
One is tempted to ask Cloris to back it down from going 90 miles an hour every day, but then she wouldn't be Cloris!
She'll be fine.

And I swear, that's what has helped her keep going so well! It's when they get sedate that age seems to really set in!

I have an aunt who's almost 87 (early Jan.) who is heading to SF with a couple of her gay buddies next week. She's almost blind herself, but still reads for the blind, holds a bridge club, does volunteer work in other ways and had a triple bypass a couple of years ago but just keeps on going!

God bless them!

I hope she is ok. Great actress. Loved her on the MTM show.

Well our prayers must have helped! She was back on the finale of Dancing With The Stars last night in FINE form! Back with all her high energy antics and the best dance I've seen her do yet!

Ya can't keep old Cloris down for long!! What an incredible woman! I admire her so much after seeing her on this season.
