The highest score is a 36, but NOBODY really ever gets to the 30's unless you're some ivy league genius. 19 isn't horrible, though. I think the ideal score is usually in the low 20's. I know that I got somewhere between like 22 and 24 but hell if I remember exactly. To tell you the truth, colleges are more concerned about SAT's if that.

ugh, my experience with that **** was horrible. i was about halfway through the first section (of about 70 questions) when the lady said there were three minutes left. i don't know how the hell that happened, i'd gone through the questions swiftly without wasting any time. so i just had to fill in random answers for the rest. i didn't get the chance to finish the next few sections without guessing a lot either. for the last section or two, i literally could not understand what i was reading because my ADD literally disabled me from grasping any of it (because the subject didn't interest me), tied in with the anxiety and panic over how badly it had gone so far. never, ever again.
![]() i'm kind of confused about that thing though. my score ended up being in the bottom 10%, but i believe it was a 16 and based on what ashlee said, that doesn't seem all that bad of a score. moreover, my best friend who is an incredible student and has been recognized even outside of school for his academic achievements was also in the bottom 10%, though i don't know what his score was. ugh, such headaches that damn test causes. the hell with my low score. i know i could take it again but there's no way i'd be able to work any faster than i did. but that's one of many reasons why i thank the good lord that i can finish my degree here without meeting ******** standards or transferring to university. god, **** universities. seriously. |

I don't know. What did you score on the individual tests? I got 26 both times I took it, but on one, my science score was in the teens, next time it was in the high 20s. So maybe just one section sunk you down.

I don't even remember my ACT or SAT scores. I know they were good enough but not great. I tried to put that crap out of my head as soon as I got into college. It's all bull****. Most colleges don't even look at ACT's anyway. |

I got a 19 the first time I took the ACT. I took it two more times. The second time I got a 22 and the third time I got 25. Don't beat yourself up about the first time. Just focus and have confidence for the second and do each practice on the subjects you have trouble with.

I might get beat up for saying this but...I made a 29 on my ACT test. Made a 26 the first time, then took it the second time and made the 29. That's higher than some of the damn valedictorians made, but I wasn't an honor graduate (.2 measly little points!).

The tests seem to vary so much that you might get one the 2nd time that's just easier. The first time I took it I apparently got hard science questions; the second time, easy ones. Kind of a joke.

I can't remember if anything was easier or harder the second time around. Science is NOT my thing, though, so that was the only score that actually went down. The other scores increased a lot, though. I made a 35 in English. |
