Default Has anyone heard from Fleet?

I actually came in here today to see if Fleet had posted anything about the fires going on in Los Angeles. I always think of him when any part of the valley is burning.

The Sylmar "Sayre" fire seems mighty close to San Fernando on the Google map.

I saw him posting a couple of days ago in the politics forum... I completely forgot he was from that part of California.

Yeah I hope his family and himself are alright, and in good health.

Hi,

I'm okay. The fire last month was closer to me than this one. But the smoke has been drifting over here most of the time. I also noticed some ashes on the front porch and on the driveway.

Thanks for the concern, everyone.

Here are two photos I took just after dawn from an upstairs window...

Yay!

Glad you're okay.

The smoke is bad here in Santa Monica. I can only imagine what it's like in your area. I haven't really noticed much in the way of ash the couple of times I ventured out today.

Yeah, at times the smoke was kind of thick. And I wanted to do some bicycling!

Thanks. As usual, those who live in or just below the foothills and canyon areas are most at risk.
I am over 2.5 miles away from the nearest foothills, with hundreds of houses and many streets (and one freeway) in between.

But I still was awake watching and recording the fire until the early morning hours, just to see where it was headed to.

I wonder how many home buyers think of the fire danger when they buy a house with a big hill with a lot of brush behind it?

It would make me very uneasy.

I'm glad that you're ok. How do you guys in California endure brush fires and earthquakes? I thought that I had it bad with tornadoes in Indiana. You guys in California are brave people.
