I remember jay thomas in a sitcom maybe in the late 80's or early 90's. does anyone know what this might be?

He was great in Cheers as Eddie LeBec! I think you are talking about one his lesser known sitcoms though.

I'm surprised Love & War is not on USA.

He was also a semi-regular on Murphy Brown. He played a Morton Downey, Jr/Jerry Springer type TV host, but falls in love with Murphy. I can't remember his name on the show, but I honestly think it was Jerry ....
