It was probably a few years ago on the TVLand Awards, sadly it was only Rob and Sally representing the cast. Sally got into character it great to see them together.

It could very well happen. It would have to be without Jean Stapleton as well, because Edith died.

The CBS Reunion which was done in the early 90's I believe, I have it in perfect quality without commercials as it was actually released on VHS.

I transferred my original VHS tape to DVD with no problem, I highly doubt the 90's CBS reunion will ever officially be released.., I'm surprised it came out on VHS. They just missed an opportunity to release it on the norman lear boxset, they seem to be done with releasing the rest of the series on DVD, so that seems to be about it....maybe in about 10 years if they issue an entire series boxset, they will throw in on a bonus disc after we bought all the individual seasons over the years!

How'd you do it? I really need to do this with my Eight Is Enough VHSs but I'm not sure of the best way to do this? I'm really backward technologically but I'd so love to get rid of as many things on VHS as possible.

And back OT, I hope anything on AITF comes out on DVD. Really one of the most (if not the most) ground-breaking show ever on TV.

Nothing happened on the show, it was just a retrospective for the 20th anniversary of the series. I remember watching the special with my parents the night it first aired, I was 11 or 12 and it was the first time I had seen anything of the show (though I faintly remember the name "Archie Bunker" from Archie Bunker's Place). I was very shocked at the clip of the "A guy who wears glasses is a 4-eyes ..." scene, yet at the same time I couldn't get away from the show. Clips from the series were shown, as well as interviews with the cast and people who wrote in to Norman Lear about the series when it was first on. Plus it opened with a reproduction of the warning that CBS used when it aired the first 6 episodes.

Well, technically there was a makeshift reunion on Larry King Live when Carol OConnor died. I remember they had Jean Stapleton, Rob Reiner and Sally Struthers sharing their memories of Carol O'Connor. I miss him! Sadly, I can't find it on Youtube anywhere, but I'm sure it's somewhere on the Net!

I did find this informative page from Wikipedia about Carol, though.
