Janet: I have to go to the hospital to run some tests everyone. I'll be back soon.

Jack: No way honey I'm going with you!!

Terri: Me and Larry are coming too!

Larry: Yeah!

Richie: WHere are we going?

Chrissy: Yeah, whats the fuss about?

Larry: We're going to the hospital with Auntie Janet while she runs some tests for the new baby.

Richie: Daddy!!! I dont wanna! It's boring!

Terri: Richie!!

Chrissy: Oh don't worry. I'll watch him.

Terri: Thanks Chrissy!

Larry: Yeah you're a big help!!

Chrissy: Oh its no problem! I just love little kids!

Jack: [mumbles] Because you are one!

Chrissy: Whats that Jack?

Jack: Nothing nothing lets just go!

Scene- Hospital

Woman at the front desk: Hello! How may i help you?

Janet: I'm Janet Wood Tripper. I'm here to run some tests for my new baby.

Woman at the front desk: Let's see let's see....oh here we are! Third floor second room from the elevator. And....are...all these people joining you?

Janet: Oh yes sorry! Would it be alright if my husband and friends watch too?

Woman at the front desk: Well i dont see any harm in it! Go ahead.

Janet: Thanks!

Terri: Richie, behave for Chrissy ok?

Larry: Be a good boy son!!

Richie: Ok. Hey why isn't Chrissy going with you? Isn't she a grown-up too?

Jack: Could have fooled me!! [laughs] Lets go! [they all exit]

Richie: Chrissy!!! Can we go to the gift place?

Chrissy: Sure sweetie! But why?

Richie: I want a balloon i want a balloon!

Chrissy: OK i'll get you a balloon. [they go into the gift shop, another couple comes by the front desk]

Woman at front desk: Hello Mr. and Mrs. Johnson!!!

Mrs. Johnson: Hi!! The doctor wanted to have an appointment with me today. He said there is some news about my baby.

Mr. Johnson: Maybe he is going to tell us if it is a boy or a girl!

Woman at the front desk: Yes..well...ok see you later!

Mr. Johnson: Our baby is probably going to be a nice brunette like you honey! [they exit]

Nurse: Awwww would u look at that happy couple!!

Chrissy: [exits gift shop with Richie] Ok you got you're balloon. Now what do you wanna do? [overhears conversation of the nurse and the woman at the front desk]

Woman at the front desk: You know that couple we just saw? The one with the nice brunette lady? Yes, they are a happy couple, but after they hear what the doctor has to tell them, they won't be so happy.

Chrissy: [thinks the woman is talking about Janet] Oh no!! I wonder what's wrong with Jack and Janet's baby! [continues to listen]

Nurse: Why? What's wrong with the baby?

Woman at the front desk: Well, I'm afraid the baby won't survive....The doctor told me this morning.

Chrissy: WHAT?!?!?!!?

Nurse: Whats wrong with it?

Woman at the front desk: I'm afraid that this one is going to be a miscarriage.

Nurse: Ohhh the poor couple!!! That's so sad!

Chrissy: [almost in tears] i don't believe this!!! [Larry comes downstairs]

Larry: Oh hey Chrissy! I just need to go get something outside.....Hey whats wrong?

Chrissy: [crying] I just found out that Jack and Janet's baby will.....

Larry: What?

Chrissy: The baby is going to die! [bursts out in tears]

Larry: Are you kidding?

Chrissy: No!!! I heard the lady at the front desk say it just now!

Larry: I don't believe this! let me go ask her!

Woman at front desk: May I help you sir?

Larry: Yes. My friend here just heard you say that a couple u just saw was going to have a miscarriage. Is this true?

Woman at front desk: Yes. Sadly it is.

Larry: Oh no!!! Did this couple have a little brunette lady?

Woman at the front desk: Yes. I feel so bad for them!

Larry: [sad] Oh...well...thank you!

Chrissy: See Larry! I told you so!

Larry: A miscarriage? i don't believe this!

Richie: Daddy daddy whats a miscarriage?

Larry: Not now son!

Chrissy: Should we tell Jack and Janet?

Larry: I dont know...i dont know.

Scene-Apartment

Chrissy: Jack, Janet, how....were...the tests?

Jack: Pretty good. The doctor is going to call us with some important results.

Larry: Oh no!!!!

Janet: What's wrong you two?

Larry: Jack, Janet. This is probably the hardest news i will ever tell you. Your baby....

Jack: What about it?

Chrissy: Its not gonna survive....

Janet: What? Where did you hear this?

Larry: The lady at the front desk told us. The doctor himself told her.

Terri: Oh Janet! Jack! I'm sorry! [Jack and Janet begin to cry, telephone rings]

Janet: [still crying] I'll get that. [answers the phone] Hello?

Doctor: Why hello Mrs. Tripper!

Janet: Hi

Doctor: I have some very important news for u!

Janet: [sadly] I know doctor i know. The baby is going to....

Doctor: Be a very healthy one!

Janet: WHAT?!?!?!? I thought mine was not going to survive!!

Doctor: Who said that?

Janet: The lady at the front desk

Doctor: No no no! You have it all wrong! MR. AND MRS. JOHNSON'S will not survive! Yours is fine!

Janet: [happy]Oh thanks doctor!!! Bye! Everyone guess what!?!?!?!

Jack, Larry, Terri, Chrissy: What?

Janet: Our baby is a very healthy one!

Larry and Chrissy: WHAT?!?! i thought u had a.....

Janet: Miscarriage....no! That was another couple!

Chrissy: So...you mean we heard the sad news of a different couple!

Larry: And your baby is ok? And we worried you for nothing!?!

Janet: Sounds right to me!

Jack: [mad] CHRISSSYYYYYY!!! LARRRYYYY!!!!!!! [others laugh as screen fades]

That was terrific! You really did a great job on the misunderstanding that is popular on that show.

Incidentally, Did anyone watch the 10:30 episode of TC last night? The one where
Chrissy bumps her head when she falls in the shower, trying to hang up the new shower curtain? That was one of my favorite episodes.

Yup I watched Chrissy's Hospitality yesterday!! I love that episode! My fav part of it was where she was makin the doctor laugh so hard he cried LOL.
