Nurse Shirley - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

I watched all of season seven and the character of Nurse Shirley bothers me. They don't ever mention her name (except in the ending credits), nor do they mention that she's Laverne's twin sister. Nor did she have any character at all. She was just there sometimes. Also, I was anxious to see the gang's reactions to essentially seeing Laverne again. But they didn't do anything about it, except for J.D. calling her Laverneagain.

Okay, I rewatched an episode and saw where the Janitor mentions her name being Nurse Shirley. But they still never mention her being Laverne's twin sister. And also, when I'd read about the character online, they'd say that she was the opposite of Laverne. That she was an alcoholic and stuff. None of that was portrayed in the episodes. She had no personality really.

Last season was shortened because of the writers' strike. Maybe that's why they didn't get to go into more detail about her character.

Season 7 was just downright awful.
