Just got done watching this flick, and it was the first time I had seen it since I was in high school.
I had forgotten what a great film this is. The film takes place during the Russian Revolution, and the cast is largely British, well except for Rod Steiger who was American and Omar Sharrif who is Egyptian, but you would never know because they gave such great performances, but so did everyone else in this film. Watching the outtakes, and interviews(done around 1965 when the film came out), I just really noticed what beauties Julie Christie and Gerldine Chaplin were. Its 3 hours and 20 minutes, and since I dont spend a lot of time in front of the tube it took me five days to watch it. I know this isnt much of a review, but I reccomend seeing this movie. Also these so called modern day movie makers should watch this to see how a movie is made. |
