So naturally I run to the TV and i was disgusted to see a preview of tonights news where apparently some freako's are playing the girls and calling it "The Dirty Facts of Life". Has anyone heard about this?

i was watching access hollywood or extra or something like that & saw that the other day. it said "blair, jo, natalie, and tootie? the facts of life girls...." and i got so excited! and then it went "but not like you pictured them. the dirty fol girls..." so i quickly realized that it wasn't really fol. what was it, an adult movie with the fol girls? either way, it was annoying after i got all excited to realize it was nothing important.

I would say that the viewers of this sereis as well as the viewers of "Gimme a Brake!" both grew up to be the first generation of Yuppies. I would also say that the person who I am quoting described a situation in which his or her bubble got bursted. This is very similar to what happened to Katie in the third season episode known as "Samantha's Protest". This episode was my third favorite episode of the whole sereis. I have started a bunch of threads regarding the episode in generation and Katie's disappointment in particulat over on that page of this site. However, for some reason there has never seemed to be too much interest in responding. If any of you would be ingterested in moiseing over to that page, I would be very interested in what you think of these threads!

I actually thought maybe MAYBE they were going to announce some sort of DVD boxed set, but NOOOOO!!!!! I was SO MAD when they talked about the adult movie thing!! So, I guess the only way these great gals can get any sort of attention these days is when a bunch of plastic porn stars depict them as sex objects?! Well, what else can you expect in a "Gossip Girl" world?! BTW, I should have come to expect this kind of smut being reported on "The Insider", being that they actually exploit people in the news just to boost ratings.

I saw this too the other day on ET and I was appalled. I can't believe there are people who will depict such a great family friendly show in this manner. And what really bothers me is that the people acting in this dirty video said that they are trying to stay as true to the original characters as possible. I feel really sorry for the original FOL actresses I am sure they don't want a show they have acted in for 9 years to be remembered like this.

The first thing that I would like to do is apologize for the number of spelling mistakes that I made in this morning's post! I realize how careless I was! On top of this, in between the time of my response and the present moment, other people have written about things that I would say are very similar to what happened on "Samantha's Protest". In the course of today, people have used words like smut and talked about the "Facts of Life" girls as being used as sex objects. How sad! Well, in "Samantha's Protest", the main theme of the episode was the protest itself. However, a little side stroy was a situation in which Katie let her hormones get the best of her. The site of the cute guy from the protest caused Katie to act in a manner that was, in the words of her sister Julie "disgusting"! I would say that one of my favorite parts of that episode was when the protesters locked arms and formed a chain. After Katie snuggled up to the boy of her dreams, Julie yanked one her her arms away and said "like this Katie"! My take on the situation is "good for you Julie"!
