my thoughts on teh eagles giants game

Well well where do I begin... Well Let me start with the positives.


I was very very happy that our 60 million dollar investment on assante samuel paid off last night. I was watching those 2 very closely & he shut burress down with the exception of that one catch, which he wasnt on the field for.


The giants have so many weapons, it is scary. For the most part the eagles did a good job against the pass, but they couldn't stop the run one bit last night. I have to give the giants offensive line props. Our defense is one of the better ones in the league & they only allowed 2 sacks last night & really manning faced no pressure. The holes that they opened up for ward & bradshaw, solomon, brian & I could have ran thru them together at the same time. My seats at the linc give me great perspective of that type of thing & the giants o line is as unsung as it gets. The giants running attack is good, but that line makes them great.


I can't figure out for the life of me why mcnabb is getting off to these horrendous starts. It takes him a quarter or so to get into a groove, I ahve no idea why this happens & apparently no one on the eagles coaching staff can figure that out either (no surprise there)


Ok so the game is back & forth, back & forth & it basically comes down to 2 plays its 3rd & 3...the eagles call a sweep to westbrook which gains 2 yards. So its 4th & 1 with the game on the line & what does reid call? A HB dive straight into the teeth of the giants line.... Smart call dummy....

I was irate when I got back to the hotel last night & turned comcast sports net on & heard his joke of a press conference & he said and I quote " I called that play because i wanted to attack the giants weakness".... Are u kidding me reid??? The giants completely shut down westbrook, i know he is hurt, but they shut him down all night & that play was called 4 times last night & guess what the play netted half a yard in 4 tries... So thats a smart call their buddy.


I just dont get andy reid, his gameday decisions are just putrid, he seems to have absolutely no idea what is happening on the football field. That first challenge last night was a joke. Everyone in the stadium knew it was not a fumble & yet out comes the red flag. We could have used that time out in the final minutes.

The second challenge I believe was a good challenge & i think it should have been overturned. Jacobs fumbled the ball on the half yard line, when only his head was across the goal line. I just watched the tape again & the replays to me were conclusive.

As far as that was eli over the line or not, I will not comment much on that one, cause the tv replays have that artificial red line that is not official, but I do believe he was across the line & that turned out to be the winning drive.



Whats done is done, Another horrible loss, another horrible loss to that miserable franchise & my team blew a chance to make a statement last night & now I have to sit with this horrible feeling in my body & i will probably not sleep well for a week.

When the schedule comes out each april, I circle two dates on the schedule & those two dates basically become national holidays to me, the 2 days the eagles play the stinkin giants. The only way to cure this feeling I have is to beat their a@@@ es all over the field next time we play them. I am like a caged animal at the linc every week, but i am borderline psychotic when the giants are in town.

Congrats to Brian & his team, they are truly the class of the national football league.

Nice review. I can't f*cking stand when Reid jokes during press conferences & McNabb laughs during the game or I see him smiling. It'll be right after he threw a sh*tty pass or didn't convert on a pass or down. Totally annoying. Ya know what I mean Mike?
