It looks like Horton from 'Horton Hears A Who' is the parades official mascot this year. Last year it was Shrek and the year before that it was Snoopy. Other floats featured this year will be Buzz Lightyear and Smurfs for their anniversary.
Little trivia: Edmund Gwenn (the actor who played Kris Kringle in 'Miracle On 34th Street' -1947) actually rode on the Santa float, unbeknownst to the public, in the 1946 parade as all the parade footage in the movie is genuine and the movie was really shot during the 1946 xmas season. Released in May 1947, Miracle On 3TH Street was still running in theatres over 6 months later well into the 1947 Xmas season and Edmund Gwenn, John Payne & Maureen O'Hara served as honorary guests for the '47 parade.
