She was on the first one or two seasons of the Tv series Different World and she also starred in the movie, My Cousin Vinny. A very talented and pretty actress.

She is a good actress. They used her on the show as one of George's many obsessions! At first they just mentioned her name over and over but it was cool when she actually appeared on the show! She's beautiful!

Oh, so she wasn't a fictional character made for the show?

I think she's a big nothing. On My Cousin Vinnie she played what she is. No special talent needed.

I definitely have to disagree. I personally think she's very talented. Not everyone would have been able to pull off the quirkiness of that character. She was also amazing in In The Bedroom, among other roles.

Marisa Tomei is a beautiful woman. George has great taste in women.

With as many 80's B horror movies that I've seen, I can confirm that this is quite false.

I didn't say anything about her talent (or lack thereof). I was talking about her physical beauty.

But I do think she's quite talented, actually.

It's definitely true. She's already getting plenty of Oscar buzz for The Wrestler, which comes out in January. If she does get a nomination, that would make her third. Anyone can do what she does? Don't think so.

I like Marisa. She has a good acting dymanic from being in a comedy role and drama role.

Yep, I completely agree. Her versatility really shows when comparing roles like My Cousin Vinny and In the Bedroom. She received a Golden Globe nomination today, which is the first step toward the Oscars!
