Great website!! I was a member for 2 years before it shutdown. Joined a few months before I joined SO actually back in December 2001. It's brought up here every once in awhile.

It was mainly a message board website alot like SO. There was alot more to it, but I really can't explain that, since I mostly just visited the boards.

Not a problem. I know there are others here who were members who can probably give you a little better description. It was a great site though, with good moderators, and a very good community feel, and then it just shut down all of a sudden in mid 2003. A sad day indeed for yours truly, and many others I know.

Yep, I was on Yesterdayland for years. It's back under www.retroland.com now, but it's not the same anymore... it was a nostalgia site that covered every decade of the 20th century.

I actually remember Little Mel being on YL's boards. There were a few others from here that posted there, too. I joined YL in November of 2001 and was there until it shut down in March of 2003.

Yep, I remember you too. Damn the years sure go by fast don't they? I think you were still in your teens, and I had just turned 20 when we first met. Seems like just yesterday, yet it was almost 7 years ago. It's crazy!!

I'll have to check out RetroLand sometime. I wonder why they didn't just bring it back as yesterdayland??

That's correct, haha. I was 16 and a HS junior at the time. You know, I don't even remember what your username was there now. Just that you had the same one when you joined here.

It was mdntrider7. Stupid name given to me by the AOL lady when I first got online, and told her I just got home from riding my bike at 2:00 am. Can't even believe I still remember. lol!

OH YEAH! That's right! You had mdntrider7 when you joined here. I could've just looked at my old PMs, but they're on my other name (that I never use now). Good times.

Cool

I remember Yesterdayland.com. Unfortunately I discovered it only a few months before it disappeared so I didn't get to spend as much time there as I would have liked. Anybody know the reason why it disappeared? I don't remember if I ever heard an explanation.

oh yea, I remember that site. I used to love posting on there and on here.

I'd also like to know why it went away, if anyone knows.
