Default Rare Black Sitcom Available on DVD that has never been on Cable

The 1985 Sitcom called"charlie and Company" featuring a young Jaleel White, Flip Wilson, and Gladys Knight. I have extra copies of the show from CBS on DVD which is a total of 3 episodes.

Contact me at retrotv@msn.com if you are interested

Cool! I've never heard of it before! Sounds like a good cast!

Yeah this show was CBS answer to the Cosby Show back in 1985 but the show never took off and was cancelled in 1986. It was a early Family Matters without Urkel

I mean, really, it ran in 1985, not 1885. I had a VCR for 5 years already and I was probably on my 3rd one by that time.

I like how Sol says it was an early Family Matters without Urkel......the irony is that Jaleel White was on the show as one of Flip Wilson's kids!

And it did get reran.....I watched the reruns--it was either USA or BET.

I was saying it was a early family matters without a "urkel like" character. And I know for a fact this show was never on BET.

Well BET or no BET, the fact is, the show was reran. I'm betting it was USA, which often liked to rerun short-lived shows fresh from network cancellation. Another one who did this often was Lifetime.

But it's still considered a rare sitcom for syndication

Never said it wasn't Sol. I'm sorry if this offends, but, man, do you always have to endlessly debate EVERYTHING?

I wasn't debating, just restating what I did in my first post before Bencasey got involved.

This show WAS on BET, what the hell are you talking about?! I remember watching it myself in the mid-80s, and BET reran it briefly in the early 90s!
