Archie would just have a beer, sit down and rant . While he wouldn't agree, the process would be short & simple. Honestly, what can YOU do, what can anybody do about it? The whole situation- nothing if you disagree with it.

Amen to that! I could just see George and Weezie having an all out blast...dancing, music, tons of food & booze... the whole nine yards!!! And of course the Meathead would be partying hearty..Edith too with her hola hoop!! ..but I could just hear Archie saying "Good Night Nurse...(you fill in the rest....use your imagination ) I'm sure George would have a few clever zingers too...esp. tailored to rile Archie!

ARCHIE: (pulling his wallet out & throwing it on the counter) HERE . . . take my money, take it ALL, meathead. Even the pennies. Now yous got CHANGE you can believe in. GET AWAY FROM ME!!!

The dialogs in this thread are hilarious! lol.

What came to me initially was a visual of Archie sitting there watching TV, with Wolf Blitzer announcing the Obama win, and the expression on Archie's face. A few minutes later, Lionel rings the doorbell. (He and Archie had a $20 bet on who would win.)

Edith: Oh, helloooo...Lionel!

Archie: Don't just stand there, get me a beer, haaaa?...Whadda you want, Lionel?

Mike: Pay up, Ahch! You owe Lionel 20 dolliz.

Gloria: Yeah, Daddy, you lost the bet!

Archie: All right, little goil...Here Lionel. Taxes are goin' up again anyway, my money ain't woit nuttin.

Lionel: Thanks Mr. Bunker.

Archie: Yeah, yeah (Looking at Mike) Whatta you lookin' at Meathead?

(Archie sits back down in his chair, dejected. The phone rings. Edith answers)

Oh, hello Mrs. Jefferson...yeahhhhh...isn't it great (Edith's in a cheery, giggly mood)

(Archie mimics her silently, mouthing the words "isn't it great?). (While Edith is holding the phone she says)

Edith: Ahchie, the Jeffersons is havin' a celebration party on Inauguration Day and we're invited!!!
Ain't that nice, Ahchie?

Archie: Byooteeful, Edit! (sarcastically)

(Archie has this bewildered look as he suddenly raises his eyebrows--the scene ends)

This thread is hilarious! With all due respect to Barack Obama, I think it would be hilarious if someone were to write a fan fiction with this very scenerio! In fact, I'm going to hop on over to the fan fiction board and see if someone's done it.
