Talking What is the SCARIEST heavy metal song?

Okay, I know that Halloween is over, and I should have posted this sooner, but, what would you think is the SCARIEST heavy metal song out there?

Remember, Halloween comes only once a year, but metal is scary all year round!! Heavy Halloween!!

My choices:

Black Sabbath --by Black Sabbath.
Hallowed Be Thy Name --Iron Maiden.
The Ripper --Judas Priest.
South Of Heaven --Slayer.
Progenies Of the Great Apocalypse --Dimmu Borgir.
Hall Of the Mountain King --Savatage.
Sign Of the Southern Cross/E5150/The Mob Rules --Black Sabbath.
Heaven and Hell --Black Sabbath.
Electric Funeral --Black Sabbath.
The Ides Of March/Wrathchild --Iron Maiden.
The Thing That Should Not Be --Metallica.
The Call Of Ktulu --Metallica.
Wake Up Dead --Megadeth.
Dead Skin Mask --Slayer.

I always thought that The Number of the Beast was the scarier song.

"Hell and fire was spawned to be released"

Same with Harvester of Sorrow. Scarier song to me!

That's true, "Number Of the Beast" IS the scarier song!! A song so scary, religious groups burned and attempted to ban the album back in 1982 because
of the lyrics!!

They thought that Maiden were the "real deal", Satanically speaking!

"Harvester Of Sorrow" is a scarier song than the other two Metallica songs I mentioned. Even Tipper Gore quoted it as a "negative" song after it came out in 1988.

I was just watching The Omen on Fri. and when they got to the part about 666, I couldn't help but think of that song!! I think the movie is what gave IM the idea to write that song.

Actually, bassist Steve Harris said he got the idea after having a bad dream about the rise of the Antichrist. I read that he also got the idea from a poem by Robert Burns.

But who knows? The guys in Maiden are big movie fans, they probably were watching 'The Omen' the night before, and that probably gave Harris
nightmares!!

I think I'll check some of Burns' poem to see which one would fit that song.

I swear Tipper needs to find something more constructive to do with her time. I've been listening to heavy metal for years and not once did a song(and its lyrics) make me want to turn to the dark side, or a life of crime, or make me want to do drugs, or a deviant act.

I always found it weird that she seems to know an awful lot about "this kind of music". Yeah, maybe some of it was from her kids, wow, can you imagine her being your mother??
