Default Broken nose and I need surgery

Well yesterday I was cleaning around my shower. I slipped and smacked my nose on rail. I broke it and the break did damage to my nasal septum. As a result I will be undergoing surgery to repair my septum and realign bones in my nose. The surgery is septorhinoplasty and it will be done early Monday morning. Right now my nose is packed and I have splint over it. Has anyone ever had this kind of surgery?

OMG, that sounds painful! I'm so sorry! I hope you have a fast recovery! I've broken my wrist before, but thankfully that's all (so far )

I'm not in pain right now. I'm having a hard time breathing. The doctors think it will take about a month for me to recover. I will have plastic splints inside my nose for two weeks after the surgery. I hope everything goes by fast

Ouch!! Sorry to hear what happened to you!! I broke my wrist 5 years ago but thankfully I didn't have to have surgery. Is your surgery outpatient? I don't know how serious your injury is so I didn't know if you have to spend the night.

I'm so sorry that happened to you! I know two people who had that surgery. My cousin, who had a septum problem congenitally had it corrected when he was 18 years old. My older brother got his nose busted during a boxing match in college. Both my cousin and brother's surgery turned out fine. I'm sorry for your pain and discomfort, but everything will be fine. I'll be thinkin' about ya.
