Default Why we like happy days ?

which is why we like happy days ?

i like happy days, because,

see what Howard says Cunningham in the final episode,

"Well, what can I say, our sons are married now and begin to build a life for themselves, I believe that when the moment arrives for the parents is the time to reflect on what they have done and accomplished, Marion and I have never climbed Mount Everest or written the American history, but we had the joy of two wonderful children grow, to see them grow up surrounded by their friends, to see them grow up surrounded by their friends and become adults and now if the Lord will we see the joy of educating their children, and I assure you that a man and a woman may not want more.

THANKS TO ALL OF YOU HAVE MADE PART OF OUR FAMILY, HAPPY DAYS! "

that's why! I love all the seasons, Who more Who less, I have enjoyed all their own.

TV

1. It takes me back to the '50s, the coolest decade of pop culture.
2. The Fonz is one of the most unique and enduring characters in television.
3. Family values. 'Nuff said.

Here's the actual speech:

"Well, what can I say? Both of our children are married now, and they're starting out to build lives of their own. And I guess when you reach a milestone like this, you have to reflect back on... on what you've done, on what you've accomplished. Marion and I have not climbed Mount Everest or written the great American novel, but we've had the joy of raising two wonderful kids and watching them and their friends grow up into loving adults. And now, we're gonna have the pleasure of watching them pass that love onto their children, and I guess no man or woman could ask for anything more. So, thank you all for being part of our family. To happy days."

...errrrm...

I don't like the Fonz much. There are more Scenes where I don't like him than where I like him. And there are lots of Moments where I hate him.

For me it's the pure nostalgia. Even if the show was bad (which it isn't!) I'd still love it because I love anything that has to do with the 50s! I thought it was so cool that a show that started in the 70's could be so authentic with it's "50's" image!

It's the same reason I love "Mad Men". Pure Nostalgia!

Happy Days reflects the values and ideals of a simpler, and yes 'happier' time, IMO. While we cannot go back in time, of course, we can preserve the values and ideals. I agree: Howard Cunninham's words in the final episode sort of summarize these enduring values. When I saw this episode, these words impacted me too.

I love 'Happy Days' because it's a great show!

The Fonz is most well rounded (And coolest!) television character I've come by for a long time!

The show is a little frisky which also makes for bit of humour.

The characters are all great (though I never liked Chachi or that principal guy from season eleven very much)

Plus: It was a moral show while still allowing the young characters (and the adult ones for that matter) to make a few mistakes and learn from them.

All around a great show, despite some of the perhaps, not as good seasons that came around.

I'll just say one thing: It's a heck of a better and more moral show then 80% of the shows on now a days! (At least, that's my opinion!)

'AAAYYYY!'

It's a clean show compared to much of modern television. It has that classic feel that draws many to old movies. It's something that I can be unexposed to for a couple of years and then randomly think of it and be able to bring up many references and quotes. It's how as I get older I start finding a new appreciation for the characters. It's how I used to find the younger Chachi annoying but now think there's a cuteness to him. I don't know if I can really explain why I like it, but it's the attraction that keeps you there; it's a love you can keep coming back to and will always welcome you.
