Default Funniest Harriot Oleson Moment?

Wow!!! Too many to mention. But I remember when Dr, Baker retired (wasn't this over the death of Laura's newborn?) and Dr. Logan, who is a rude, arrogant, cold personality, comes to town. Everyone hates him for these reasons. But he peddles this elixir that "Cures everything." The funny part is that Harriot convinces Nels to stock the stuff at the Mercantile. (New doctor, sell his product, good for business at the store.)

One problem is that the stuff is like 75% alcohol! (I assume it had a sweet taste to it.) Harriot becomes smashed and starts singing "Home on The Range!"

( My friend said that I sang Home on The Range once when I was drunk!! hahaha) Every time he brings that up, I think of this episode!

My fav Harriet moment is a scene when she dashes across
the street with scrambled eggs on her backside. She had
just found out that Adam had regained his sight. LOVE
this!

Oh yeah! Then she falls backwards on her chair and her feet are sticking up!

There are so many but I like the one where Fred the Goat gives her a really good butt in the caboose and she lands in the mud! And when she faints when Nellie pops the wheelie in "Bunny".

Sounds great...I hope to see that episode one day. I like shows with that kind of plot. I wonder if this was the first show to use that plot. Shows that came later:

1) Lucy with Vitameatavegamin
2) Good Times with Vita-Brite
3) Laverne & Shirley, chocolates in the store have Liquor

I just saw Katherine MacGregor in a vintage Family Feud All-Stars ep. The theme was Heroes vs. Villains. I think the ep aired in 1981 or '82. She was very funny and dressed all in black.

HEROES:

Jon "Bauzer" Bauman - Sha Na Na
Tom Wopat - Dukes of Hazzard
Mackenzie Phillips - One Day at a Time
Gordon Cooper - real life astronaut
Marla Gibbs - Jeffersons

VILLAINS:

Katherine MacGregor - Little House on the Prairie
James Best - Dukes of Hazzard
Paul L. Smith - Midnight Express
Inga Swenson - Benson
Henry Silva - Sharkey's Machine

The episode The Cheaters when Mrs Olsen is standing in class and finds out that Nellie has been cheating on her tests and chases her home beating her with her jacket The whole town is looking as she is screaming and running across the street.

There are too many funny moments to cover them all here. I loved how nicely (or comically rather) Harriet & Nellie took their downfalls. I did see not long ago on YouTube a funny moment from the 5th season 2-parter where Harriet has taken a job as a barmaid in the saloon to raise $ to put her kids in the private school in town. Another barmaid mentions something to Harriet about Harriet's wrinkles, and Harriet says "They'e not wrinkles; they're laugh-lines.". The barmaid replies back "Honey, nothing's that funny!".

That's hilarious!!

The only one I can think of right now is when Nellie was pushed down the hill in the wheelchair by Laura in "Bunny". One of my favorite episodes. "It's a miracle!" That was a hilarious line by Ms. Olson!!!

I'll have to think of some more. She was one funny witch!!

I remember the indoor toilet that Harriet had to have--when Harriet tried it out, it started flooding the place!

That time when Carolyn walked out of the Oleson's restaurant and Harriet said, "Well, who's gonna do the cooking?" with a really crabby, concerned tone of voice.
