Default Name a TV character you can't stand as a character and an actor

My vote goes to Dustin Diamond and Screech. On "Saved By the Bell", the Screech character annoys the hell out of me. They could have done without him. I also hate Dustin Diamond when I saw him on that celebrity weight loss thing. He was arrogant, miserable, and heartless. This guy will never get an acting job again.

I rarely feel hatred towards both the character and the actor, but these days I cannot stand Thomas Haden Church. He became exceedingly arrogant after Sideways and it seems like he treats his porn star wife/girlfriend/concubine as a trophy (Not even acknowledging her or hugging her at the Emmys? Sleazeball). At one time I liked Ned Dorsey and Lowell Mather, but not anymore.

In terms of loving an actor but hating the character, I cannot look at Carl Sack from Boston Legal without feeling a burning fit of rage coming on.

-Henry Winkler as the Fonz
-The woman who played Alice (on Alice), never could stand her
-The father on "8 is enough" couldnt stand the show, or him (and his big toothy constipated smile)

I agree with you about Alice and Linda Lavin! The character of Alice was a bossy bitch! Linda Lavin had an ego that ruined her show!

I can't believe he was asking his "fans" to buy things from him because he was so broke! Now that's beyond tacky! That's probably the reason he continued to stay on SBTB after everyone else had left... no one would take him!

And he's probably the least successful of any of them! I haven't heard much about Lark Vorhees, but as for the rest;
Mark-Paul Glossear-Went on to star on NYPD Blue and is now in Raising the Bar
Mario Lopez-was on Dancing with the Stars and has also done a bunch of other shows
Elizabeth Berkeley-I don't know if you could really call her successful, but she has gone on to do other things; not that any of them were good , but at least she's done something besides SBTB
Tiffany Amber Theissen-Went on to star on 90210 (I think) as well as some other stuff.

As for my own answers, I never could stand Tim Allen and don't like Home Improvement at all.
Rosanne is another one that I cannot stand; her character or herself!

Yes, I'd have to go with Screech as well. Not to mention Gary Coleman. I never cared much for his Diff'rent Strokes character, and he just seems so bitter and mean in real life.

Roseanne Barr - can't stand her for butchering the National Anthem in 1990 or her TV show, which should have been canceled after "Anthemgate", but ABC was too GREEDY and WIMPISH to do so

I agree with you about Dustin. His behavior was unexcusable on Celebrity Fit Club. He said he didn't even want to be on it. Then why did he agree to be on it??!! What an idiot!! I think maybe the producers wanted somebody to be the bad guy to increase the entertainment value.

I can't think of anybody else who I really hate at the moment.

I can't stand Dustin Diamond either, although I did love Screech as a kid.
I also can't stand Roseanne and Tim Allen, both on-screen and off. I also think Patricia Heaton is just as bitchy in real life as she was as Debra Barone. (Sorry, Brian. Please don't attack me )
