Default minisodes --what do you think of them?

There were 2 minisodes on The Partridge Family season 3 DVD. I think I would like them if I had Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD)

I don't like them. The only ones I get excited about are the (so far 2) NewsRadio ones. And that's only because it's my favorite show and I'm curious to see what gets cut and what makes it. Of course, if they help the sales of the shows then I'm okay with them.

Cool

I watched the Diffrent Strokes minisode on the Partridge Family season 3 DVD. It really bothered me that they edited Dana Plato right out of the episode. I much rather see cast interviews or featurettes as extras on a DVD rather than minisodes!!!

I feel stupid for asking but what's a minisode?

I think minisodes are fine for online viewing, but I think that they should NEVER be consider a 'special feature' on a DVD set. What a gyp.

Schmoopie--a minisode is a 30/60 minute show cut down to 5 minutes

When I spoke to someone at Sony, he talked about it like it was the best thing since sliced bread.

I think they are ironically a waste of time.

That's interesting. And also very strange. I don't see the point in a five minute show. I agree that calling them a special feature on a DVD is lame!

Just a new and creative way for Sony to drain more money out of TV fans.

I thought minisodes were original episodes made for the internet, not abridged versions of TV show episodes. I'm always hearing the networks boast about them.
