I'd add 8 Simple Rules; when they decided to cast David Spade as Kate's nephew. That totally ruined the show for me!

That 70s Show (last season)

Boy Meets World (Eric becoming dumber and just constant whining)

Family Matters (really strange with all the inventions and the France kidnapping--weird)

The Beverly Hillbillies
Laverne & Shirley
Mork & Mindy
Welcome Back, Kotter

The final seasons of all these shows were pretty dismal, in my opinion.

I agree with NewsRadio. I also think Wings got really silly after Joe and Helen got married. The Simpsons also got a lot more silly with all of Homer's crazy adventures.

Happy Days just got dumber and dumber, the more they featured the "Fonz"

Just add "Every ABC Show" to this list. Think about it - it seems like every hit show on ABC eventually got cumbed down by the network. Roseanne, Full House, Family Matters, Boy Meets World, Step by Step, Happy Days, Laverne and Shirley, 8 Simple Rules, Hope and Faith, The Drew Carey Show, even Home Improvement, just to name a few.

The only that kind of avoids this list is Three's Company - that pretty much maintained its quality the entire series, without getting crazier by the season.

Soaps like "Dallas" and "Dynasty" have a tendency to get sillier with time. I guess they started running out of better ideas.

One exception: Danny Arnold decided to end Barney Miller while it was
still on top.

As much as I hate to say it...Seinfeld. Although, even those episodes had their moments.

That's very true...of course, 3s Company couldnt really get much sillier than it already was!

I agree. The only way in which they were guilty of anything related to that was in regards to individual characters like Chrissy and Mr. Furley.
