New Beastie Boys Album Due Out Next Year - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

Adam "Ad-Rock" Horovitz of the Beastie Boys revealed some details about their next record over at Billboard.com this week, including its potential release date sometime next year.

"It's a lot of vocals, a lot of words—very wordy," Horovitz said. "And it's political, depending on what you call political. You know, if toilet talk and fart jokes are political, which they can be, in that sense yeah, very."

Don't expect to hear any new songs on the Get Out and Vote tour, however. As Horovitz explained, "It's always weird when you play the new songs that people don't know. Anytime we play new songs, it always seems like a brick."

I didn't like To the 5 Boroughs, hopefully, this will be a major improvement.

Beastie Boys To Record New Political Album

The trio is currently out touring to urge people to vote.

The Beastie Boys seem to have a political urge that they need to scratch. And what better way to do this for the rap group than recording a new political album.

(Billboard) – As the Beastie Boys prepare to begin their Get Out and Vote tour, the group is also at work on the follow-up to the 2007 instrumental album "The Mix-Up."

"We're actually in the middle of recording it right now," group member Adam "Ad-Rock" Horovitz tells Billboard. "We hope to have it out sometime next year. It's a lot of vocals, a lot of words -- very wordy. And it's political, depending on what you call political. You know, if toilet talk and fart jokes are political, which they can be, in that sense yeah, very."

The new material will not make an appearance on the "Get Out and Vote 08" tour.

"I don't think so," Horovitz said, regarding the new songs on tour. "It's always weird when you play the new songs that people don't know. Anytime we play new songs, it always seems like a brick."
