Investigators said two shooting victims were discovered inside a home belonging to Hudson's mother just before 3:00 PM on Friday.

The home is located at 7019 South Yale in Chicago's Englewood neighborhood.

One of the victims was 57-year-old Darnell Hudson.

The other victim was identified as Jennifer's brother, Jason. A cousin who lived nearby discovered the bodies.

The shooting is believed to be domestic, police said.

Hudson is said to be flying to Chicago from Tampa.

OMG - how awful. I swear, it was just last night I read an article on her (I think in People) how she's never been happier in her life than right now - and this happens?

How sad. She must be going crazy. The police think it's domestic. If the little boy is missing, perhaps it was over a custody dispute. I pray that child is safe. Just terrible.

Wow, can't believe that happened to her family. I was hoping this would be some kind of weird joke thread. Hopefully her nephew will be OK and that Jennifer will be able to accept this at some point in the future - don't know if I ever could though if it were me.

yes - that's the main reason she was so happy lately. Just horrible. I pray for the little boy's safe return.

It used to be stuff like this only seemed to happen in the movies or on soap operas, but more and more they're getting commonplace. Domestic murders are now well the number one murder in North America.

That's awful! She must be hurting badly. And what a terrible time for this to happen (although any time would be terrible to lose a loved one), but especially right now, after she had just gotten engaged. I'm glad she has her fiance to lean on, but this will take a long time for her to get through.
