Roger Muir (HOWDY DOODY Producer) Dies
I just received this message this morning from Jeff Judson, president of the
Doodyville Historical Society ... It is very sad news tonight to announce the death (this morning) of a dear, loyal, long time member of the Doodyville Historical Society. Howdy Doody's Executive Producer, a man with a vision---Children's TV---, a good judge of talent---he hired Bob Smith.........E. Roger Muir. Roger tried to attend every Doodyville Convention. He was always enthusiastic and supportive. He would always ask "how can I help? Is there anything you need?" He never shied away from joining one of our Question and Answer Panels. He loved Howdy Doody and he enjoyed being around folks who worked on the TV show and the folks who grew up watching it. He contributed to the newsletter. We'll miss you, Roger. Our thoughts and prayers go out tonight to his wife, Bobbi, who worked alongside Roger at NBC. Jeff Judson Doodyville Historical Society |
