Why is Gilligan doing the nose whistle thing when he is acting out the scene from the movie with Ginger?
Wow! Gilligan can really eat those decades-old crackers and be OK? And I've thrown out so many food items that got "old". I like when Gilligan defends Sam and says, "He's NOT stupid!!" |

After eating nothing but fish and coconuts, those old crackers must have looked good !

Remember that Gilligan made this whispering noise whenever he is upset, scared or unconfortable.I guess Ginger made him unconfortable.
I agree after hating Bananas & coconuts for mounts, those rotten cookies might have tasted good anyway.Well, that boy must has a good digestion It's funny,I always thought that bird sounded like Bugs Bunny.I found out later,it was indeed Mel Blanc who did the voice

The whole "Beau Geste" re-enactment on the floor is a riot. Ginger and Gilligan are both such hams!
"Don't anypanic body because the comesters are ganging!" Brave and sure, my foot. Dear old Skipper. Sam is a magnificent Scarlet Macaw, quite different from the smaller parrot that quotes Gilligan in "Angel on the Island." Presumably he is still out there in the jungle and visits the castaways from time to time. Since Macaws aren't long distance flyers, they won't be sending him off with a note any time soon. In the Unofficial Gilligan's Island Handbook, Joey Green says that the episode implies the bird read the newspaper article. The article is dated 1906, but parrots do live an extraordinarily long time. Sam may well be seventy years old and have landed on the island with the original gangsters |
