Default Question about some episodes...

Hey, I was wondering if anyone could help me find out what episode Rick proposed to Jo in and which they were married in... I've serched all over the internet and only find the 1 called til marriage do us part(which I also wish I could see) but I'm not sure if they got married in that 1 or if he proposed or both... Its been years since i watched every episode and its frustrating that I really got into Facts of Life again and can only find seasons 1-3. Anyway I would really appreciate if someone could help me clear up that quest... Thanx

He proposed and they were married all in the same episode. You're right...it's Till Marriage Do Us Part.

Welcome to the boards!

It all fit into one episode because (in my opinion) the whole thing was very rushed. Jo deserved a better wedding episode than that and it would have been nice to see her marry someone who had appeared in more than 3 episodes. Just my thoughts though!

you're definately right. i wish i could see that season again to really understand it. i'm guessing since it was almost the end they wanted to make someone get married. i think shows do that at times to get people to watch it and to give loyal fans something good to remember(or something like that)

If they wanted someone to get married, by all means Tootie and Jeff should have been that couple! We knew Jeff, because Jeff and Tootie had a previous history in season 5, rekindled in season 8. Jo and Rick, were like......WTF?? Almost as bad as Blair dating Casey (don't get me started on THAT relationship).

I agree with you 100% on that. Tootie and Jeff did have a history so it would of made more sense. I could never believe Blair would date a guy like Casey so yeah i didn't get that either

I think the writers did not have this season planned out in advance like they should....instead they should have had Rick be in Malibu, meeting Jo in jail and then following Jo back to Peekskill--that would have made more sense. Still what about some other past Jo realtionships--like Eddie or even Cliff coming back and falling hard for Jo, making Blair extemely jealous!

I still don't even know how Jo met Rick... Rushing them to get married really doesn't make sense especially if he was going away and she would still live with her friends besides there was still alot of episodes after they got married. They should of at least waited till it was closer to the end of the season. It does seam odd also that they kept making Jo almost get married. Eddie was 1 thing but what was up with her going to marry that guy to keep him in the country. that was ridiculous.

The episode where Jo married Rick was one of my least favorite episodes. It was waaaay too rushed; if I remember right he was like only in one or two episodes before they got engaged and married (all in 30 minutes ; maybe it would've been more believable if Jo and Rick had eloped). I can't even remember how or when they even meet. I tried writing a fanfic when I was like 12 (although I didn't think of it as fanfic at the time) showing Jo and Rick having at least some form of a relationship but never got further than a page.
I agree with Jude; Tootie and Jeff should've been the ones to have the wedding episode due to their history. Why the hell did they choose Jo, especially when they paired her up with someone we never saw before?

Yeah, I've always hated how they totally rushed the whole Jo/Rick relationship thing. I despised Rick to begin with, and the wedding just made it worse. For whatever reason, they really wanted Jo married on that show; first Eddie, then Enrique, and they finally got their wish with Rick. They should have married Tootie and Jeff, I absolutely agree with everyone saying this. Maybe even Blair and Cliff (The Blair/Casey thing made me sick too). I don't know what they were thinking. They just popped random guys into the show and tried to force relationships and they rarely worked out

Step 1: If you like a guy, grab him and tell him he drives you out of your tree.

Step 2: Just call and tell him, 'Hey Al, you dance with me in the contest or you'll never dance again.'

Pretty effective, hey?

Jo met Rick when she was working as a social worker at a community shelter and he was "hanging out" there because he was out of work and had some problems. He thought he was dying (which I wouldn't want to ruin the episode for those who haven't seen it, but it was really stupid that he thought he was dying!) Anyway...she asked him to be a big brother type to Andy and he did. Then when Jo found out he thought he was dying she tried to convince him he was an idiot (which he was) and then decided to try to help him (which she did...sort of.)

The next time we see him they have supposedly been dating a while and Jo's dad meets him and hates him so we have an entire episode devoted to how Jo loves a guy her dad hates.

Next episode...they get married.

Way too RUSHED!!!
