thats funny! john is so pathetic but hes a lovable loser! hes like the geek inside all of us but magnified. its funny because i really don't enjoy garfield without john. i love the holiday specials especially thanksgiving and xmas because they feature john a lot in them but i didn't like the cartoon series as much because there was less john and when they did feature him they made him overly dumb. i guess in the strip hes engaged to liz. a little fun miracle on 34th st tie in for me is the actress who does the voice of liz on the old tv show and specials is Julie Payne, John Payne's daughter.

Interesting site, but it's definitely not the same without Garfield! Punky, I absolutely LOVE the Garfield Christmas special where he, Odie and Jon go to his parents farm for Christmas! I watch that one all the time!

I love the Garfield holiday specials too. I wish they'd air them on TV. I also liked the cartoon as a kid.
