Jamie-Lynn Sigler Hits the 'Mother' Lode

Speculating about Sarah Chalke being How I Met Your Mother's mysterious matriarch is so five minutes ago. The debate that's raging among HIMYM disciples now is whether or not Ted's future baby mama is Jamie-Lynn Sigler.

Or at least it will be once they're done reading this story.

Sources confirm to me exclusively that Mother execs have tapped Sigler to guest star as Jillian, an old friend of Lily's and a notorious party girl. The Sopranos vet will appear in just one episode, the airdate of which is TBD.

Translation: Sigler's got to be Mother's mother, right? I mean, she's female. She's the right age. She's a woman. Did I mention she's also the right age?

It's either that or I played the "M" card simply to generate added interest in this casting item.
