Default Most painful defeats you can recall

What are some of the most agonizing sports moments you remember?

For some of us, it's easy.

Me- 4 Super Bowl losses in a row, and the Sabres always rip out my heart come playoff time

littlebelle- She probably has nightmares remembering when Matt Hasselbeck once said, "We want the ball, and we're going to score!"

Solomon- Anytime a team from Philadelphia wins, regardess of the sport.

For others, it's not.

What are those devastaing things that you still cringe about to this day?

LB, you don't remember when Hasslebeck, in the playoffs, said after winning the OT coin toss that they want the ball and were going to score, only to throw an interception?

That has to be at least second or high up there.

I forgot about that until you mentioned it. There are lots of moments for me that qualify, so I just put the one that will forever wrack my brain and drive my temper and emotions right through the wall.

You're not the only one who got screwed out of a championship.

I'm a Sabres fan- a Stanley Cup-clinchine game in 1996 once decided by a goal WHEN THE PLAYER HAD HIS ^%$^%$^$%^$% DAMN FOOT IN THE CREASE!!

I know what it's like to have the refs screw your favorite team out of a title, LB. You're not alone.

Andrea DOES have the 1991 Washington Huskies' national title in college football.

I HAVE NOTHING!!

THE SABRS RIP MY HEART OUT EVERY SPRING AND THE BILLS LOSE FOUR STRAIGHT FREAKING SUPER BOWLS WHILE I LIVED IN BUFFALO!!!!

The only problem with that is that I was living in Texas at the time so I wasn't Husky fan! Oh well! They did go to the Rose Bowl in 2001. That was an AWESOME game!

The Tennessee Titans losing the Super Bowl to the Rams when their drive for the winning touchdown was stopped at the one yard line as time expired.

The NFC Divisional game a couple years back vs. New Orleans. Painful then any NFC Championship loss.

I know you like football more then baseball, but what about the Mets last year going 4-13 in their last 17 games, and this year, being up 7-0 to Philly and losing 8-7.
