I can't believe Facebook - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

This is the stupidest thing I have ever heard. My boyfriend got banned from using the facebook friend request button temporarily because facebook thought he was adding friends to quickly. I mean what should that matter it's not like he was using profanity or ticking anyone off, now I could see them banning him if he did that but for adding friends that is dumb that is our right. Have any of you ever had a problem with facebook? And what did you do about it?

it took me months just to register because it was giving me crap about my college that i didn't understand.

I think their reasoning behind it is that they assume if you're adding loads of people at once then you're spamming, or intending to spam them.

It does seem quite silly. Was your boyfriend given a warning at all or did they just put the request button ban in place without any prior notification?

ebay suspended my account once for asking too many sellers questions in a short period w/ out prior notification that they were going to do this. i had to go through a long drawn out process with ebay live help for almost an hour to get it restored.

Well they put the request ban in place then they emailed him about it. In the email they told him to re-read the terms of use, so he did and it never did say anything about requesting friends to fast is a problem or anything about that subject. Also they told him if he had any questions or concerns to email them and they would get back to him right away so he did that and it's has been over two days and they still haven't emailed him.
