Steven Curtis Chapman's "Cinderella" more poignant after daughter's untimely death - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

Have any of you heard this song?? It's a beautiful song, and what makes it all the more poignant is that a few weeks after it was released, Steven's 5 year old adopted daughter, "Maria Sue Chapman", was accidentaly run over and killed by her older brother.

It's hard to listen to it without getting teary eyed, especially knowing that one of the people he was singing it to is no longer with us. The "she'll be gone" part of the song particularly gets to me. Here's a video of the song for those who havent heard it.

That song now reminds me of Eric Clapton's "Tears of Heaven" - though of course the circumstances behind both songs were different. May God continue to bless and heal the Chapman family.

You know, I never thought about that, but now that you brought it up, it does sort of remind me of Tears In Heaven. Only difference is that one was written before a death, and one after, but you still think of these two little children's deaths everytime you hear them. ):

What a beautiful song! I'd never heard that before. How sad that the little girl died! Her brother accidentally ran her over? That's horrible! There are some tributes to her on that same youtube page. Thanks for sharing that song. I love it.
