TV Sunday's Games that I watched

I didn't see any threads about today's games, so I just started one. Sorry if the topic is lame. I usually don't watch three NFL games in one day but today I watched three pretty good ones (well, with the exception of one!)

Falcons/Bears; This one was on TV when my husband and I were at a restaurant and man! What an exciting one! I didn't really care much about it, but I was kind of cheering for the Bears (for Veggie Tari Jenn, who's a good friend of mine! ). I saw that the Bears were losing with 11 minutes left. I told my husband no way were they going to win. I saw what I thought was a player about to kick a field goal. I turned away from the TV for about 30 seconds and when I looked again, it was tied. Then they must have scored a touchdown seconds later because the Bears were ahead. I was shocked! Well, not because they are a bad team or anything... just unexpected. Then when they stopped the clock with ONE SECOND left? What are they NUTS? What can they possibly do in one second? And then of course they let Atlanta kick a field goal. At that point you pretty much know it's all over. It almost seemed to me like they were giving the Falcons the win. I hate games that end like that because aside from praying that the other team misses, there's nothing you can do. That happened several times during Seahawk games. I have nothing against either team but it was just funny how the Bears were celebrating a win and then the tides turned and the Falcons were the ones who were celebrating in the end.

Seahawks/Packers-I don't know what Green Bay's record is this year, but I wasn't really expecting the Hawks to win. I know that's terrible coming from a Seahawk fan, but it's just that Green Bay's a pretty good team, usually. They are tough to beat. Plus, we didn't have Hasselback, so that really put a damper on things. Surprisingly, Holmgren didn't seem that upset about it. At least they tried, I guess.

Chargers/Patriots-I remember a while back (pre-season I guess) when there was a thread about the Patriots saying that without Tom Brady as quarterback they weren't going to be a good team at all. I was kind of skeptical but after that game against San Diego tonight, I'm starting to wonder. I was surprised that they were so far behind most of the game! Actually what really surprised (and irritated) me, was that one call of the incomplete pass in the third or fourth quarter. I guess Chargers fans don't like that ref very much because they were booing like crazy! I can understand that, but then they cut to a commercial break, showed about 5 commercials, came back and the crowd was STILL booing! What is up with that? Get over it already! They were ahead by 30 points anyway! The announcer said something like "This crowd's so mad that they want to release zebra at the San Diego Zoo." That was funny, but I seriously did not get that at all! The way the players were after the game, I wondered if they hadn't been playing well up until this game, or if they were happy to have beaten a Superbowl team.
BTW, did the Chargers get new uniforms? I don't remember their colors ever being light blue and yellow before. I thought they were a darker blue last year. I like the new uniforms, though!

The Bears HANDED the game to the Falcons with that dumb kick with 11 seconds left. You only do a squibb kick when the other team has no time for a DRive

This is ridiculous, the hawks have been division champs for four years and now we're just handing it over to the Cards? We're better then this.

Well you already stated it's not much they can due without their starting QB and other injured players

I didn't see too many highlights of the Packers-Seahawks game.

I honestly thought that Seattle would have a rough year before the season started.

No Joe Juruvicius, no Shaun Alexander, and more injuries than an episode of 'Home Improvement.'

The offensive line- not as invincible as it was in 2005- Mack Strong's gone and they let Steve Hutchinson join the Vikings, where he has turned Adrian Peterson into a BEAST!

Thank god Lofa Tatupu's only in his fourth year- he can survive these tough times.

I mean I knew it wasn't going to be a great season but I didn't think we'd be this bad. I should have known judging by the types of injuries though.

I am a little disappointed that the seahawks are not as good this year since they play the Eagles later on this season-lol

That game's in Seattle, and the injuries could be healed by then.

It's very disappointing, because they were undefeated in pre-season. Unfortunately, that doesn't mean anything. Plus, ESPN was predicting them to go to the Superbowl! I knew THAT probably wouldn't happen, but still it's a nice thought!

Yeah. When I got back into Seattle yesterday, I was wearing my Seahawks jacket and some idiot at Seatac was like "are you sure you want to wear that?" and I was like "uh yeah, I'm sure " and walked away.
