my thoughts on the Eagles 49ers game
Well it wasn't pretty thats for sure, but when the game was on the line our defense finally showed up.
This game started out pretty well, the eagles looked crisp on offense & built an early lead, then they puttered a bit in the second quarter & squandered some big chances to put the 49ers away. I have always been a fan of taking the ball to start the 2nd half, today is a perfect example of why I believe in that philosophy. The 49ers blocked a kick returned it for a TD at the end of the half & all the momentum is on their side. THen they get the ball right back at the start of the 2nd half & take it down the field & score a td... They scored twice b4 the eagles could even touch the ball offensively... I am shocked more teams dont think like that. Dmac was really on today, with the exception of that one pick which LJ smith basically gave up on, he was on target all day.. Djack is developing into our go to guy & he had a really nice game & came up with some big grabs. My star of this game was jaque parker, that man was all over the field today, pressure, sacks, a big int that sealed the deal... If he keeps this play up, he will be in the pro bowl... The defense really stepped it up & basically **** them down in the 2nd half & although the offense was just fine, to me it was the defense that won us this game today.... With 4 key starters out, I knew it would not be easy, the 2 most important pieces to our team were out today, (westy & shawn andrews)... They found a way, just like i thought they would.. With the redskins & cowboys losing today, the eagles are right in the thick of things again. A win is a win & i will take them anyway I Can get them. The division is breaking down like this to me. Giants heads & toes above the rest, redskins & dallas on about the same level with a slight edge to the skins & the eagles sit at 500 & still a pretty dangerous team... I dont care what anyone says, the nfc east is still a beast... |

Great game. Mike I turned the game off for like 5/10 mins after the end of the 3rd quarter cause I was pissed lol and missed the touchdown and the 2 FGs, then I saw the interception..

I still don't know how the 49ers gave up 20 something points in the 4th quarter! I had to root for the 49ers...hell, we lost today! LOL
