Yep, I sure do!
"Scrabble" ran on NBC daytime from 7/2/84 to 3/23/90, and a brief revival followed from 1/18/93 to 6/11/93. Both versions were hosted by Chuck Woolery.

I remember Scrabble. It was Chuck Woolery's best game show since he left Wheel of Fortune. There were also bonuses for letters in the pink and blue squares. Let's not forget the Scrabble Sprint, where one player set a time and the other player tried to beat it with the same words.

Yes..
Since BCI is releasing FremantleMedia game shows that I'm hoping that Scrabble is on the list in the future so only time will tell... |

Both Scrabble and $ale of the Century (the 1983-89 U.S. version) will be tough acts to get a DVD release for. Scattergories, the game show, is also tough. Why? The shows were all produced by Reg Grundy Productions, which is now a part of FremantleMedia's Australian arm. And if there are DVD releases of these shows, they will be best-ofs and will most likely be released through Mill Creek Entertainment. Mill Creek was the company that took over for Navarre, the last parent of BCI Eclipse. ~Ben |

I remember Scrabble with Chuck Woolery. It was one of NBC's most successful game shows of the 80, along with another show from Reg Grundy Productions, Sale of the Century. The game was also simple and the home audience could play along.

i'm assuming your talking about Scrabble (NBC/1984-90,1993) right MrCleveland? anyway steviegriffinfan, did you know that The Hub cable network had attempted their short-lived game show version of Scrabble titled Scrabble Showdown with Justin Willman as host? it ran from September 17, 2011-May 27, 2012 they even have a bonus round called Scrabble Lightning which sorta plays very similler to the NBC days but not really. well IMO I think The Hub's version was O.K. but I think if Frank Nicotero hosted SS while Justin Willman hosted TGOL i think it wouls have been much better. too bad it was short-lived though. |

I remember it fondly. My grandmother and I used to watch it together when I was home from school. I always liked the theme song. I always preferred Chuck Woolery hosting this rather than Love Connection.

which theme song? is it the original one from 1984-1990 or from the short-lived 1993 revival? |
