...to "The Dating Show" because all these people seem to care about is DATING!!! I can't believe how this went from being a refreshingly sweet but poignant show that dealt with serious issues such as violence and racism to a show all about being in a relationship! Even when Simon got involved in that car crash that killed someone, all Lucy can care about is getting pregnant with her cop husband and Mary being pregnant and having a new boyfriend...then all that crap about Roxanne and Chandler! Seriously, what happened to this show?! And since when has dating become such a huge priority?!

Yeah, I know what you mean. I really am only a fan of the earlier seasons, the show totally changed it image after a while.

I just saw an episode last week where Matt was all mental over some girl turning him down. I've had girls turn me down, and I did feel a little bad, but I never went completely off the wall.

Up until year 11, I loved it. It had its weak spots, but the stories were still interesting through what was supposed to be a 10 year run. I, like many fans, am trying to deicde whether or not to add the 11th season to our dvd collection whe released. I for one may stop at 10.

All Aaron Spelling shows, no matter how they start out, eventually devolve into soap operas. Seventh Heaven is certainly no exception to this pattern.

I have to agree with you. It started out very well but then turned into a joke, and a very bad one at that. Although there was one episode in the 10th season that surprised me, and IMO turned out to be among the best episodes of the series. The EP titled. The Magic of Gershwin. Now that was a great episode. They really dug deep for that one.
Ruthie is still heartbroken over Martin and his new life and girl when she's caught in the girls restroom talking to another girl and gets detention for being late to class, which turns out to be the best thing for her. The Pianist Michael Feinstein is the Teacher in detention and plays Gershwin songs for the students, but eventually gets the students caught up in conversations about music and it's roots, and how Gershwin played a huge part in it. He gives the kids a chance to be heard and speak their opinions which I think is what more schools need. |

I definitely agree that the show became just about unwatchable toward the end. Couldn't stand any of those last sets of characters like T Bone and those two other girls... annoying...
I guess if a show lasts as long as this one did, you can only do so many shows about relevant topics, so you eventually have to resort to dating shows, especially with so many young cast members. |
