Phyllis's parents were really dull and boring. Maybe that's why the series was cancelled so quickly.

Mother Dexter...She was a hoot! Oh no, she's my favorite character not my least favorite! I guess my least favorite character was Richard Schaal.

I didn't mind Richard Schaal,he could be quite funny.
Leonard in the 2nd season,was annoying rather than funny.
I really liked Jonathan and Audrey,Phyllis' in laws.

Wow, I can't believe all the people who pick Audrey. I think she was a hoot! She's my third favorite character after Mother Dexter and Phyllis. For least favorite, I would probably say Harriet.
