I noticed in the new Unvolved website a case about Nancy Hyer and Billy Fischer. In 1986 they were both murdered and their bodies found in the trunk of an abandoned car. Billy was shot 18 times and Nancy had been stabbed. Billy's father is a suspect, who has since sold his house and disappeared.
Was this case ever shown on Lifetime? |

This guy was despicable. I felt so bad for Nancy's family. They need to find this dude.

Ahhh, yes I do remember this one from Vol. 17.
I never understand who can kill (or even try to kill) their own children (Marie Hilley anyone). Mr. Fischer is vile, needless to say. The way he killed his son and Nancy, both totally innocent, and could have cared less. Didnt his son have some sort of disease and need money for medical expenses. Geesh...the father is a complete moron. |

Just thought I'd bump this up. I just heard from a friend of Billy's and today would have been his 42nd birthday. Unfortunately his father is still on the run.

He was last profiled on America's Most Wanted in 2005. But I wouldn't be suprised if the show profiles him again, which they likely will. |

Bumping this one up.
I think with William Fischer's drug use, it is likely that he's dead by now. If not, I hope he can be found. My theory is that he was high on drugs at the time of the killings, hence the extremely violent nature of the crime. High and angry about being asked to pay his sickly son's medical bills, he snapped. I think Nancy was an afterthought to him, and he just quickly did her in so she couldn't talk. |
