Lol Jerry Jones Is Running a Dojo of Thugs and Troublemakers....

Adam "PACMAN" Jones is in trouble again- what an idiot. DALLAS (AP)—Dallas Cowboys cornerback Adam “Pacman” Jones was involved in a fight with one of his bodyguards, according to Dallas police, the night before attending a previously scheduled team meeting with NFL commissioner Roger Goodell.

No one was arrested and no one will be charged in connection with the fight late Tuesday night at The Joule, an upscale downtown hotel.

Jones missed all of last season for Tennessee while serving an NFL suspension for off-field incidents. Goodell fully reinstated the cornerback, acquired by Dallas in a trade in April, just before the season opener.

“Someone from the business called police,” Dallas police spokesman Cpl. Jerry Monreal told The Associated Press. “Police arrived and spoke to the parties after they had a verbal argument. Both parties agreed to leave, and they left.”

The incident report lists no names, and Monreal said he did not know if Jones was involved in the fight, which was first reported by Dallas-Fort Worth TV station KTVT.

But the details of the incident and Jones’ involvement were confirmed to The Dallas Morning News by Deputy Chief Vince Golbeck, who is a commander of the central patrol division, which responded to the call. Golbeck was not in the police station Wednesday night, and a dispatcher at the central patrol division declined to comment.

Jones’ agent, Warrick Robinson, said he had spoken with Jones on Wednesday but declined to discuss the details of their conversation. He referred all questions to the Cowboys. Team spokesman Rich Dalrymple did not immediately respond to an e-mail and voicemail left by The Associated Press.

NFL spokesman Greg Aiello said the NFL had no comment.

Before meeting with the Cowboys on Wednesday, Goodell said to reporters in San Antonio: “Adam knows how much emphasis I put on making sure that he makes good choices going forward, that he avoids situations where he can reflect poorly on himself, the Cowboys or the NFL. So far he seems to have been able to do that very effectively.

“I am supportive of him and am hopeful that he will be able to do that for the rest of his life. I am hoping he will not only be a great NFL player but he will continue to do the right things so he can lead a productive life off the field as well.”

Before the latest incident, Jones has been arrested six times and involved in a dozen incidents requiring police intervention since Tennessee drafted him in the first round in 2005. That includes his connection to a shooting at a Las Vegas strip club.

Goodell suspended Jones in April 2007 after an accumulation of arrests and legal problems.

At the time of his reinstatement Aug. 28, Jones said: “I know my responsibilities to the NFL and I’m going to hold my own and do what I need to do to make sure I stay where I am right now, which is reinstated. I work hard every day to make sure I don’t make the same mistakes. Can I say I would never ever make the same mistakes? No, I can’t say that. I’ll make sure I put myself in way better situations than I have put myself in the past.”

Thoughts? Pacman is a loser and an idiot in my mind. Jones could be suspended again, and could be fined and charged, outside of the NFL, for the fight and ensuing altercation.

We’ve tracked down Steve Pickett of CBS 11 in Dallas/Ft. Worth, who has been working the story of the Tuesday night fight involving Cowboys cornerback Pacman Jones, and we’ve got some more details.

The incident occurred at a hotel that was hosting a party after the local premiere of the new Max Payne movie. Jones was not an overnight guest at the hotel.

Pacman was perceived to be “clearly agitated” (and intoxicated) while outside the hotel. At one point, Jones pulled off his shirt (he had a T-shirt under it) and then went back into the building.

Hotel security broke up the bathroom fight between Jones and the bodyguard. A police officer spoke with Jones outside the hotel, but no charges were filed and no report was generated.

The Cowboys claim that they have no information about the situation, and thus the team had no comment.

The open question is whether the bodyguard was someone whom Jones had hired, or whether the bodyguard was retained by the team to shadow and/or babysit Jones. If it’s the latter, Jones might have committed an automatic violation of the Personal Conduct Policy since, technically, the bodyguard is a co-worker.

We’ve recently heard that tension has arisen between Jones and the team regarding efforts to keep him out of settings in which trouble could arise. It’s unknown whether Jones attended Tuesday night’s function with the blessing of the team, or against its wishes. Not long ago, the team reportedly barred Pacman from participating in a celebrity beach volleyball tournament.

JONES SCUFFLED WITH HIS TEAM-ISSUED “BABYSITTER”
Posted by Mike Florio on October 8, 2008, 8:56 p.m.
The Dallas Cowboys had no comment about the fight involving cornerback Pacman Jones because the team had no information about the incident. Well, if the team doesn’t have information about the situation, it simply hasn’t bothered to ask for it.

Per a league source, the “bodyguard” with whom Jones fought in the bathroom of a Dallas hotel was an off-duty police officer who has been hired by Cowboys owner Jerry Jones to babysit Pacman.

The source says that the problem started because the babysitter popped off to Jones’ female companion. Jones, who had been drinking, then started up with the guy, and it culminated in a scuffle.

Jones, we’re told, had marks on his face at practice on Wednesday.

It remains to be seen whether the Cowboys or the league will take any action about the situation.

PACMAN PARTS WAYS WITH AGENT
Posted by Mike Florio on October 8, 2008, 9:42 p.m.
In what could be even more evidence of the rapid unraveling of Pacman 2.0, Albert Breer of SportingNews.com reports that Jones recently fired agent Manny Arora.

“Adam and I see things a little bit differently,” Arora told Breer. “He’s the boss, and he made this decision.”

The move is surprising, given that Arora stood by Jones through his string of off-field challenges, including his lengthy suspension from the NFL.

And so the biggest question currently facing the Cowboys is whether Pacman or T.O. will completely implode.

We place our money on . . . both.

Jones will probably wind up behind bars before the season ends, and the NFL will once again look foolish for coddling thugs like him.

Not the NFL, the Cowboys and Titans will. Goodell punished him, and did good in punishing him, the guy is clearly a troublemaker, a moron and no good. A lot of people get a second chance and blow it, looks like he is one of them. Oh well.

Default Cowboys won't discipline Pacman

Dallas Cowboys coach Wade Phillips confirmed Adam "Pacman" Jones will play Sunday against the Arizona Cardinals.

An internal investigation by the Cowboys into Adam Jones' latest incident concluded he was not in violation of his contract, or the understanding about conduct he had with owner Jerry Jones, a source told ESPN's Chris Mortensen.

Phillips also said he had no indication that Adam Jones would be suspended and Jerry Jones said the team didn't plan any discipline after the player got into a scuffle with his bodyguard Tuesday night in the bathroom of an upscale Dallas hotel. Police were called, but no charges were filed.

"I am very disappointed in that we're having to deal with this," Jerry Jones said.

Good luck with Pac Man, Jerry. I'm sure he'll be on his best behavior the rest of the season.

Ten bucks says he's in jail before the playoffs.
