Default Intimidating environments in sports

What are some of the most hostile and intimidating places to play in sports?

I'm talking about places where fans are loud, boisterous and can really affect the game.

I ask this because my best buddy littlebelle is a Seahawks fan, and their stadium is arguably the loudest and most difficult to play in with their "12th Man," loud fans, and ability to draw false starts.

OSU's Horseshoe and Michigan's Big House have to be up there.

I think a lot of domed stadiums are considered pretty loud. I know the Superdome and Minneapolis' Big Inflatable Toilet are all loud stadiums.

Philadelphia- any stadium is pretty loud. An example, last night, fans cheered like crazy and were loud after Myers, our pitcher fouled off CC pitches. It's probably the first time I've seen fans cheer, and so loud, after a player fouls off pitches and draws a walk lol. Lincoln Financial Field is another. New York also.

There is nothing IMTIMIDATING about the Linc or CBP

Even the VET stopped being intimidating when they changed the field in 2001

The 1989-1994 is when I always felt the Eagles would win at the VETm damm that was a tough place to play

Are you serious?! I will admit, since the Skins moved into Fed Ex, it doesn't seem as loud as RFK was. RFK use to rock.

It pains me to say this, but Ralph Wilson Stadium in Buffalo is pretty loud. I been there once, and the fans are nuts. It was real intimidating in the early 90s.

I have been to RFK as well & honestly i thinkfed ex field is way louder WHEN THEE FANS WANT TO MAKE IT LOUD... There have been times when the redskins have been sitting on their hands in crucial situations... I think RFK was a more " intimidating environment" but fed ex can be very very loud at times

The most intimidating hockey arenas that I've ever seen are the old Boston Garden, Chicago Stadium, Philadelphia Spectrum, and the Colisee in Quebec which was the home of the Quebec Nordiques in the WHA and NHL. In cities like Toronto and Montreal, you also had great fans and a tremendous atmosphere but without the added and continuous volume that you had in the other rinks. Ever since most of the new rinks began operating in the late 90s the intimidation factor isn't there anymore until the playoffs start, and even then it only shows up for a short time. The one exception that I've noticed is in San Jose. The fans there may not be versed in the language of hockey but they are often passionate, enthusiastic, and sometimes very, very loud. It makes for a great place to play and a real treat to watch.

Still, for any arena in any sport, it would be hard to top this:

NHL All Star Game --- Chicago Stadium --- 1991
