"Corner Gas" Creator Brent Butt Has "Hiccups" - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

TORONTO -- "Corner Gas" creator and star Brent Butt will keep his comedy engine revved after wrapping the sixth and final season of Canada's No. 1 sitcom.
CTV and the Comedy Network have ordered a pilot for his new half-hour comedy series, "Hiccups," produced in association with Sparrow Media.

Butt is skein's creator, writer and showrunner, while Laura Lightbown ("Da Vinci's Inquest") and David Storey will exec produce. Storey will direct the pilot, which begins shooting in Vancouver this month. "Hiccups" stars "Gas" co-star Nancy Robertson as a successful children's author with raging mood swings who hires an unqualified life coach to help her.

Final season of "Corner Gas" preems Oct. 14 in Canada; WGN airs the show Stateside.

I guess Brent wants to make sure his wife has a job @_@ (It doesnt sound very good, but, Ill probably give it a chance....frankly, he should have kept making CG for another 4-5 years!!!)
