Sigh..that sucked. It's like a "death and mayhem" type theme song, not anything spooky whatsoever . I miss you Robert Stack and old UM!

It definitely does seem like "Unsolved Mysteries" without the old theme song.

That's quite a shame if they aren't using the original song.

To crystaldawn: are you changing the picture up top to Dennis Farina? Or if you must put Farina up there, can you have a picture of both Stack and Farina?

Well TJ takes care of all of that but I'll mention it to him and see if he wants to add Farina. I'm sure he won't want to take the RS picture down.

Why couldn't they've used the classic UM theme song? It's kinda degrading the way they seem to think that people have really short attention spans or something

Maybe TJ can create an animated .gif of Robert Stack morphing into Dennis Farina. That way you can have the best of both worlds.

If they believe that, then it is a demonstration of just how out of touch the television industry currently is. Nowadays, they have a habit of pandering to a select few, instead of accommodating TV audiences in general. This certainly explains the fact that some network executives are partial to airing programs that are designed for viewers of certain groups (such as age groups)?

I said it before and I'll say it again: we the silent majority are being ignored!

If someone knows how to create that, he said he would use it.

Based off of that promo, they will probably have guitar riffs in place of UM's traditional musical cues.

Groan! Where's our beloved Phrygian mode, shiver inducing, theme song? What's with the balls to the wall, testosterone-drenched, guitar riffs? It feels like the intro to some WWF or Ultimate Fighting crap. I almost felt like yelling: "Go kick his @ss!" Instead of ... "I'm putting on the alarm system and locking all the doors and windows!"

Let's just hope that this was just placeholder music for the teaser AND not the official theme song. Come on' guys, haven't you been paying attention to us, the die-hard fans who post here day and night, sacrificing time with friends, families, loved-ones, pets? Dang it!

Sheesh. I said it once and I'll say it again. We should have been hired as consultants. Cased closed.

I'm still hoping they use the theme music used in the background from the commercial I saw (assuming they don't use the original theme)

It at least had something attempting to resemble the vibe of the classic music.

The song in that promo was freaking awful.

It's like they are trying way to hard to give the show an 'edge' when it clearly doesn't need one.
