Employers actually give 3rd interviews now??? - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

I mean damm, what would be the reason not to get that job at that point?? You are now on a 3rd interview and I know that anybody in that position has to feel that they will get the job. I never heard of such of thing-lol My cousin has a 3rd job interview today and I know will be outdone if she doesn't get the job. I mean what else could they possibly want to know by that point?

BTW: i only have one suit so a 3rd interview would be a Problem since a suits my size cost $250 a piece-lol

That is rough, but times have changed. Nobody is hiring anymore, so when a company does hire a new employee, they want to make sure they have the right person.

Not uncommon at all these days. Depends on the job of course, but you can expect up to 5 interviews and sometimes in front of a "panel" of people.

For the past few years, it's always been a minimum of 2 interviews I've had.

Yep - times are tough and it costs a lot to hire and train the right person so I don't blame companies at all.

The other thing - watch what you post on Facebook and MySpace on your pages - more and more employers are checking them out for prospective hires so make sure nothing's up there that you wouldn't want them to see.

And Solomon - no problem if you only have one suit - just make sure it's a different shirt and/or tie with it so they know you don't sleep in it too.

I see their point in doing multiple interviews but man, that really adds to the pressure! One job interview is stressful enough!

Third interviews are pretty common with a lot of companies. The company I work for has been giving third interviews for the past couple of years. The first and second interviews are basically background interviews to review the person's past work and the third interview is in front of hiring panel and they do assessments combined from the interviews with education and experience.

when i worked briefly at walmart for pocket change i was interviewed by 3 different managers before getting the job!

LOL - I've had the same thoughts! I even went in and reset Facebook so that only friends could see the details! Especially this past year!
