Default Lamont and Donna

What exactly was Lamont's problem with Donna? When Fred gave her an engagement ring, Lamont blew a gasket and told him that, at 65, he was too old to get married. In retaliation, Lamont brought a girl home and told his father he might marry her for spite. Lamont had to be 30 years old, give or take. He was calling Donna, the baracuda. There were references made to another time when Fred wanted to marry Donna. I missed that. If I knew more, perhaps it would give me better perspective.

Donna certainly wasn't marrying Fred for his money. She was self-supporting, a nurse, had a nice appearance. She was kind of prim and proper for Fred, but opposites attract. Lamont just sounded like a whiny kid. That doesn't seem like a normal reaction for a man Lamont's age.

Lamont was an arrogant and whiny bitch in season 1. There was no reason for him to act the way he did towards Donna. She was respectful, and polite to him, and he gave her his ass to kiss. Donna didn't deserve that, and neither did Fred.

Lamont acted like a child on S & S. He expected his 65 year old dad to cook and clean for him. He was always yelling at his dad too like he was a kid.

I think it had a lot to do with Lamont not wanting anyone to take his mother's place which defintely was CHILDISH-lol

Yea I think that's what it was.

Lamont and Donna did become friends as the series went on though. He was just terrible to her early in the series.

Yup, he wasn't used to his father being with anyone else and it bothered him.
