For the past five yrs I had been drinking and telling everyone that I have been sober for awhile I know it is a lie and I do hate it but, I am a Alocholic and I do go to AA, I do work I do have a sponsor,but I just can't tell anyone,but yesterday I was cleaning the rug shampoing spelled wrong, anyways ith my mom we were finished she found a recept slip said I had bought beer, she was upset, but I and she talked it out and plus I have diabetis,and other medical issues with me drinking beer I just can't take one I would drink the whole 12 beers and then some even at the bar, so I am starting to do my sobrity again and taking it one day at a time I have been sober for 2 years in 1999-2002, but silped up and been jiding my drinking ever scince. But, I know I will try and not to drink and call people go to meetings, the lyeing part is the number one thing I did the old ways when I was drinking also. but,I do have friends and I really don't like drinking by my self and hding it, but my mom understands now, and I need to keep it real.

You can be forgiven for the odd slip, but the one you're hurting the most is you with it (and I'm sure you know that).

Just remember the people who care about you and what you're mom would do if she lost you (diabetes and booze are a deadly mix).

Dig down and get back on those 12 steps. I pray God grants you the courage to change the things you can and the wisdom to know that you can. It isn't easy, but it can be done.

Hang in there and be strong.
