agree with most of those except Emotional Rescue. ER wasn't one of their better albums, but at least it had enough standout moments to deserve being in a collection, unlike Dirty Work, lol. Same with "Flowers In The Dirt", I think it's one of Paul's better latter day albums, at least when compared to Press To Play and Off The Ground. "This One" is a great single IMO.
Some others offhand: Madonna - Hard Candy Prince - Emancipation Blondie - Autoamerican (I know people think The Hunter, but Autoamerican is a crap album with two great singles) B-52's - Good Stuff Queen - Hot Space Rod Stewart - Body Wishes (actually, I think most of his work in the past 25 years qualifies, LOL) Depeche Mode - Exciter REM - Around The Sun |

I dunno what it is about Autoamerican I can't stand, I just felt the album was too ambitious without the music to back it up, but yet Rapture is my favorite Blondie song. But as a whole album, I like Parallel Lines (which they performed start to finish when I saw them this summer) or Eat To The Beat much better. |

I can honestly say that the majority of the artists that I like do not have a bad album, in my opinion. The only one that comes to mind is Mariah Carey - Charmbracelet, and there's still some songs that I enjoy from it.

RE: Emotional Rescue
One thing that is really interesting about this album is that over half of Tattoo You were actually ER leftovers, including "Start Me Up" and "Hang Fire". Interesting how the leftovers album is so much better than the original. ![]() Maybe the Stones might have a great album left in them filled with scrapped Dirty Work, Bridges To Babylon and Steel Wheels tracks

I discovered the other day that Timeless is actually Martina's third biggest selling album and it was her highest charting on the Billboard album chart. It reached number #3 and sold 2 million copies. Which means it sold more than double what Waking Up Laughing sold. I guess I must be in the minority in my disappointment with Timesless.

Who knows, if they took all the outtakes from Dirty Work, Steel Wheels and Bridges to Babylon, they might have an album to equal Let It Bleed.

Charmbracelet is the twelfth album and ninth studio album by American singer Mariah Carey, released in the United States on December 3, 2002 (see 2002 in music) by Island Records. It was her first album on the label and was also her first following the release of her film Glitter (2001) and its accompanying soundtrack album Glitter, both of which were critical and commercial disappointments. Sales of Charmbracelet were an improvement over those of Glitter, but were still lackluster. The album was unable to garner any US hits, as none of its singles made the Top 60 of the Hot 100. She once again collaborated with many artists on this album such as rappers Cam'ron, Jay-Z, Freeway, Westside Connection and R&B artists Kelly Price and Joe.[1] ---------------- I have to agree these are her two worst albums. But even for the worst they are not that bad. There are songs on those albums that I love.

Off the top of my head (these are all artists I'm a fan of):
The Beach Boys - Everything after "Love You" (although there are a few scattered worthy tracks up through 1986) Creedence Clearwater Revival - "Mardi Gras"Foo Fighters - "In Your Honor" [more like "In Your YAWNor"] George Harrison - "Dark Horse" and "Extra Texture" Billy Joel - "The Bridge" John Lennon - "Some Time In New York City" and "Mind Games" Paul McCartney - "Pipes Of Peace" and "Press To Play" [good call, John] John Mellencamp - "John Mellencamp" [although the song "Days Of Farewell" is great] Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers - "The Last DJ" [loved it when it came out, now it just seems like I'm listening to a bitter old man] Pink Floyd - "The Final Cut" [which is what I want to give my wrists after listening to music from this album]Queen - "Hot Space" and "Made In Heaven" [although the latter is good for what it is] Radiohead - "In Rainbows" [just not feeling it this time, guys; sorry.] Red Hot Chili Peppers - "Stadium Arcadium" [see Foo Fighters' "In Your Honor." If you're going to make a double album in the CD/digital age, make sure you have enough material to keep people interested.] The Rolling Stones - "Dirty Work," "Bridges To Babylon" The Smashing Corgans - "Zeitgeist" Weezer - "Make Believe" and "The Red Album"Brian Wilson - "Imagination" and "Gettin' In Over My Head" |

. Actually, I have started digging more into their collection in the past year or so and agree that after Love You/M.I.U. is where it all went down the crapper. I actually picked up Pet Sounds on reissued vinyl a few weeks ago.I know I'm in a minority here, but I'm not really wild about the new Mellencamp. I thought Freedom's Road was brilliant but the new one does nothing for me. With Weezer, I was cold on Red when I first heard it, but it's grown on me a lot. I like it more than Maladroit and Make Believe. Although I wonder how much better Thought I Knew and Cold Dark World would've been if Rivers had been lead on it. With Automatic, Patrick sounds so much like Rivers that I didn't even realize the difference at first. |

I've only heard Glitter once (I was dating a huge lamb at the time) but it was without a doubt Mariah's worst album. Some of the songs weren't so bad, but my problem is that she went crazy with the guest rappers who literally took the album over and it felt like Mariah was a special guest star on her own album. Charmbracelet and Rainbow were even better IMO.

Yeah I totally agree about the rappers. They really to be nice "pooped" all over the album. I do really love the song "Never Too Far" from the Glitter album thought. I think that song is great. Loverboy was ok too.
