TV hunk Mario Lopez has become the latest star to pen a children's book. The former star has written "Mud Taco" with his sister Marissa about his experiences growing up.

A source says, "For fun, he and Marissa would make tacos out of mud in the backyard, substituting worms for cheese, grass for lettuce and mud for meat. Mario would dare Marissa to eat one, but she’d refuse. Now they’re writing a book about it to teach children to be strong and creative.”

The new book is due out in 2009, according to Life & Style magazine.

It's nice to hear actors doing good things like this instead of the usual arrests and drugs, etc.

Exactly! Lots of celebs are getting into the children's book genre these days. I think it's great!
